BISM Takes Bronze at the Costa del Sol Mathletics Competition

Students from The British International School of Marbella recently took part in the first-ever Costa del Sol Mathletics competition, hosted by Aloha College. This exciting event brought together twelve teams from each year group, with schools including BISM, Aloha, Swans, EIC, Sotogrande, and Laude competing in a total of 144 students.

The competition featured a variety of challenging rounds designed to test mathematical skills and teamwork, including:

  • Countdown Speed Arithmetic Challenge

  • Relay Maths Puzzle Race

  • Obstacle Course of Maths Problems

  • Group Final, where teams collaborated to solve puzzles together

All 24 students representing BISM showcased remarkable skill, determination, and excellent teamwork throughout the event, demonstrating both their mathematical abilities and great sportsmanship.

Special congratulations go to the Year 7 team of Denys, Lucas, and Natasha, who proudly secured the Bronze medal in their category. Their achievement highlights the talent and dedication of BISM students and sets a strong foundation for future competitions.

We are incredibly proud of all our participants for their outstanding performance and look forward to more opportunities to celebrate their academic excellence.
