School Life

At BISM we impart an ambitious educational programme that encourages students to achieve highly in a wide range of areas. This means that school days are busy and full of activity.

Lessons take up a big part of the school day and are the time when most of the formal part of the curriculum is delivered.

We place great importance on nurturing a lifelong habit of reading, so everyone in every age group has half an hour of the school day dedicated to quiet reading, typically just before or just after lunch.

The last period of the day is given over to community activities, especially those that involve students across different year groups. These might include assemblies, music rehearsals, practice sessions for school teams, school play rehearsals, school podcast production and a range of other activities that enrich school life.
